This was a super fun read. Most of the 80's pop culture references were lost on me as I've never been a fan but it didn't take away from my enjoyment. I tend to enjoy nerdy books so this was right up my alley. It really reminded me of a young adult version of Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. Which was also fantastic.
This was a really fun read. I really liked the protagonist. She is smart and a little nerdy. I was looking for a cute light read and this was the perfect book for that.
4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this book. It has a very interesting take on modern vampires. I was sucked into the story right away. I found myself not wanting too stop listening.
More of a 3.5 star read for me. A nice tidy little end to the series. I did get into this one much fast than the other 2. Overall, I enjoyed the series.
I really loved this book. I listened to the audio so the changing POV was a little confusing at first. But the story hooked me fairly quickly. It was very hard to stop listening. Kate Mulgrew was an amazing choice for the narrator.
Unfortunately, I found this story quite dull. I disliked the main character. I just found her very blah and whiney and annoying. It finally got interesting at the end, so I am a little interested in seeing where the story goes but I'm not in a hurry to find out.
I enjoyed it, but I didn't love it. It definitely had some creepy parts and a unique story. I think it was just a little too young for my taste.
It was OK. It was such a strange read that I just couldn't really get into it. I thought reading from a zombies point of view would be entertaining, like in the White Trash Zombie series, but it just fell flat. Not a bad book, just a bit meh for me.
This was meh. I suppose I was expecting more. There were a few funny things but mostly she talked about how hard it is to write a book. When telling a story she would veer into another story only to come back. A little disjointed to say the least. Not a bad book, just disappointing.
I love this book. It was quite a bit slower than I remembered but still a fantastic read. The ultimate good vs evil story.
More of a 3.5 star read. I am still enjoying this series but I don't know if I like the direction that the story is going. I definitely plan to continue the series. I really enjoy the characters. They are all so smart ass, and that is right up my alley!
I finally finished it!! This was a book club read from 2 yeasts ago. (I know it's horrible but at least I eventually finished) I did skip the case histories at the end though, those were just too dull for me. I found Egdar's story interesting, but the philosophy, not so much. Overall it was just Ok,not my typical read.
I enjoyed it, but found the pacing a bit slow. I really like most of the characters but I'm not sure I like where the story went at the end. I am going to pick up the next one to see how it goes.
I was so very excited to read this, and Ringer nearly ruined it for me. I just dislike her, very very much. Reading from her POV was painful for me. I found Ben quite irritating as well. This book was also painfully slow. I fully intend to continue the series. I am enjoying the story, just some of the characters are not my cup of tea.
